'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is presently two years through the four-year agreement he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden significant honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously consider extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he won the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
